One of the reasons INM has won multiple Best Places to Work awards is our approach to helping our team balance work and personal life. At INM, we feel it’s important that you aren’t defined by your work.  We hope that our employees love what they do, feel challenged, affirmed and feel that they are making a difference.  However, at the end of the day, we don’t want the most important thing in your life to be your J-O-B.

The tricky thing with this, however, is that the company culture tends to mirror its leadership.  We can talk about having a great balance, but if Leadership doesn’t take the initiative to show what that looks like in practice, employees have a hard time following it.  For example, you can offer unlimited PTO, but if the team leader (or company executive) rarely takes time off, and never talks about it, employees tend to follow that example.  The CEO of Netflix, Reed Hastings, talks quite a bit about this specific example in the book he co-authored with Erin Meyer, called No Rules Rules (great read, highly recommended).

I share all of this to give some background on why INM is opening a second location in Colorful Colorado.  As a leader within this organization, it’s important that my actions follow my words, and that is exactly what happened.  My wife and I had been discussing quality of life for our family and ultimately came to the agreement that the lifestyle we were looking for wasn’t in the great state of Texas anymore, but in Colorado.  So, we made the decision to pack up and move to a state where we didn’t know a single person, except for our realtor, in the name of prioritizing that work-life balance.

Part of that decision was the fact that INM would open an office in Colorado Springs, to serve corporate clients along the Front Range, in Pueblo, Colorado Springs, Castle Rock, Denver and Fort Collins (and beyond).   The location was partly chosen after multiple talks with our vendors who all spoke to a gap in the market that we could fill, based on how we go to market, and that was a challenge I was looking forward to tackling.

So, I introduce to you INM Front Range.  We’re incredibly excited to kick off this new chapter, integrate into local communities as much as possible, and expand our footprint—while also taking time to get outdoors and enjoy it.
